The Journey Within

A conversation led by the body · mapping your blind spots · conscious breathwork · integration support

What has been repeating in your life for so long, and you still don't know why?

The Journey Within is a two-hour individual session over Zoom, for both men and women. I direct your attention to the places in yourself you're not aware of, and together we find a more supportive perspective on the part of you that stands behind them. One that doesn't stay in your head, but anchors in your body.

The session includes three days of follow-up support. It's a deep experience that wants to be integrated into ordinary life. And you're not alone in that.

“But from the outside, everything looked fine.”

Most of what repeats in our lives doesn't come from a decision.

It comes from automatic mechanisms that switched on long ago because back then they protected us, and have been running ever since. Without our consent. At the moments we'd need them least.

That's why, in the session, we go further than an ordinary conversation about what troubles you and what you'd like to change.

What changes an ingrained mechanism

Shining a light on blind spots - recurring patterns, beliefs, and automatic reactions - isn't enough.

First you name it, and you know what it concerns. Then you see it from a different perspective than the one you've been seeing it from. And then you get space to live it through the body, to breathe through whatever belongs to it.

“Míra's guidance led me further into myself, and into themes hidden deep down.”

Inner parts and the body

Why this happens through the body

The body responds even to what the mind has set aside, for all kinds of reasons. It is a gateway to connections that thinking alone can't reach.

Our sense of self grows out of countless experiences and memories. They shape the different inner parts our identity and personality are made of. Each part has its own voice and its own needs.

When certain experiences, realizations or memories are more than we can carry, sooner or later they disconnect from the whole and we stop perceiving them as part of us. They don't disappear, though. They keep working outside our awareness. The learned response then fires in every similar situation, without our knowing why.

And the body responds on its own. Sometimes as sensation: pressure, irritation, discomfort, a kind of “freeze”. Sometimes as behavior: we shut down, we blow up, or we accommodate at any cost.

Two hours

How the session unfolds

1

Blind spots: where it runs you and who inside you that actually is

As we talk, I watch what happens in your body: where the breath shortens, where your attention turns, where you contract, where you overplay, where you disappear.

I work with a somatic method and with emotional alchemy, turning emotion into insight. I treat sensations in the body as raw material, not as a symptom that should pass quickly. Along the way I intuitively hold up a mirror, and we find out which part of you is speaking, what it needs, and which situation and period it comes from. When you discover what that part would have needed back then, instead of what actually happened, a new and more supportive perspective appears.

2

Deeper regulation: living it again, and differently

Once it's clear what your theme concerns, we go deeper. Conscious therapeutic breathwork, shorter and more targeted, guided toward deeper regulation of the nervous system.

Regulation and the felt sense of inner safety aren't a bonus but a condition. Only then do the new insights from the session begin to integrate.

The new perspective doesn't stay as a thought. The body gets opportunity to live it on a physical level. Again and again.

3

Where it goes from here

You choose one concrete step that belongs to your zone of responsibility and is small enough to take even in a bad week. That's how what you lived in the session gets anchored into ordinary life, so it doesn't stay in your head only.

“He seemed to know exactly what I needed at that moment of my life, and he adapted every session so that it guided me along my own path. Despite my health difficulties, I felt safe and supported the whole way through.”

After the two hours

What you take with you

  • An understanding of the deeper causes of your particular automatic reactions. Not a general “I have a problem with boundaries”, but precisely what happens to you, when, and whose voice it is inside you.
  • A different relationship with the part of you that once protected you. Today it no longer has to, and you don't only know that in your head, you feel it in your body.
  • A bodily experience of how it could be otherwise, not just an idea of it. Most people leave with a different breathing pattern than the one they arrived with.
  • An inner compass instead of instructions. You find the answers yourself; I hold the light.
  • One step into your ordinary day, and three days to try it out and have someone to discuss with and reflect.

It doesn't end when Zoom closes

What follows the session

An insight has a short life if it doesn't meet ordinary life soon.

Right after the session we pick a time for our integration call (30 min) within the following 3 days, while the insights are most alive.

For all three of those days I'm also here for you in a private chat. You write or send voice messages, and I listen, answer your questions, and offer feedback and my expertise.

And if practising something makes sense, I'll send you a guided audio or video practice for home.

“The sessions helped me deepen my perception and bring calm into everyday life.”

Who this is for

  • You want to come back to yourself, to the balance and grounding that got lost somewhere along the way.
  • You carry tension in your body that won't let go, and you sense it isn't only about your back or your sleep.
  • You're going through a change or a time of transition: a separation, a loss, burnout, a move, the end of something and the beginning of something new.
  • You want to work holistically, with body, mind and the unconscious at once, not with a single layer.
  • You've done therapy or coaching, but something is still missing. You want more of the somatic layer.

Who this isn't for right now

  • You don't want to look at your blind spots. That's a legitimate choice and I don't push anyone into it. But this session is built entirely on looking at them.
  • You don't want to come down out of your head. The unconscious doesn't speak in arguments. It speaks through pressure in the chest, through an image, through a memory that arrives uninvited. Most of the work happens there.
  • You want to understand, not to change. Sometimes it's time to just read about it and let it settle. Come when you want something to move.
  • You want someone to tell you what to do. That you won't get from me.

Who's guiding you

Míra Suchý

Hello, my name is Míra. Seven years ago my life was out of alignment, and it showed: in my body, in my mind, and in my relationships. I had no energy, I was overworked, and I had lost my connection to real fulfilment.

I decided to step out of the familiar and find my way back to myself. I began intensively exploring somatic methods, practices that led me deeper into the body and helped me rediscover what lives inside.

My perspective was deeply shaped by initiation into men's work, and by encounters with the authenticity of indigenous cultures. I'm a man who has opened his heart and his feeling, though it wasn't always this way.

I see my calling in guiding people into their own depths, back to themselves, and into reconnection with their inner wisdom.

Frequently asked questions

I've never done breathwork. Will I manage?

Yes. The breathing part is shorter than you may be imagining, and I adapt it to what your nervous system can hold. It isn't about performance, and it isn't about getting somewhere far away.

What if I don't feel anything?

It happens, and it isn't a failure. Not feeling is information too, usually about how well your defenses are protecting you. We work with what is there, not with what should be.

Is this psychotherapy?

It isn't. It's psychosomatic work. I work with several layers at once: the body, the mind and the unconscious. Precisely because those layers hold one another, there's little sense in addressing only one of them. But I don't replace medical care. A physical symptom belongs with a doctor first, and where a different expertise is needed, I'll say so.

Can I come even if I'm going through a hard time? And what if something opens up?

You can, and it's often a good time. Loss, a separation, burnout, the end of something: that's exactly what brings a person closer to what is usually covered over.

We only go where your system lets us, and we always come back together; the last phase of the session is there for precisely this. And for three days afterwards you're not alone with it. Please just write in the booking form what you're bringing, so I can adjust the session around it.
